Summer dress

Dress: Antonio Melani (old)

This is the first time I've worn this dress since last summer. This dress was an investment piece for me that I had to include in my summer wardrobe. The fit, style, and most importantly the quality has held up perfectly.

Thanks as always for your support!

Presently focused:Tank & pencil skirt

Top: Kohls
Skirt: Ann Taylor
shoes: Sam & Libby
purse: Wilson leather(old)
shades: Michael Kors

Whenever I need a quick outfit I almost always grab a pencil skirt. I love how I can dress it up or down like I did with this tank top. The weather was very hot and humid so I had to go with something cooler on top. I brought the skirt last winter and I've made it a summer favorite!

I spent some time at the museum this weekend.  It was so interesting hearing about the existence of the sun and how it plays a vital role in our survival. It was a lot of overwhelming information to take in and that could cause worry but those are things we can't control. However, the facts are great to know in order to understand how valuable our life presently is.

When it comes to finances there is a lot of facts supporting that the financial future of many doesn't look so promising. However no need to be overwhelmed by these facts either and what will happen in the future use these facts to develop a present game plan.

For example, when I was in college I kept hearing horrible facts about how graduating students were starting their life in debt only to accumulate more debt after school. I chose to focus on what I could control like getting my degree, finding jobs related to accounting so I could increase my skill set, attending seminars related to my field, joining networking groups, building relationships with people, and most importantly saving money while in college. This present focus helped me to have enough money saved to purchase my first home right after graduating and I had a hefty emergency fund. In return I was less stressed compared to other graduates because of my present focus and choices made.

Well I hope everyone had a great weekend and as always thank you for your support!

Check up time: Halter dress

Dress: Target(old)
Shoes: Sam & Libby
Sunglasses: Michael Kors
purse: Aigner

Hi! I was so excited to find this old dress in my closet considering all the temptations to spurge on newer pieces. However, I'm keeping my commitment to utilize current items and only add pieces that bring value to what I currently have.

I'm also excited  that we are a little more than half way through 2015. Its check up time! I have been using this month to check up on my business and personal goals and making necessary adjustments so I can finish this year the way I anticipated. This is the time where statistics say most people have given up on their yearly goals...but I refuse to be apart of that statistics. Therefore, I have made revisions and now taking action. Lets make it a great 2015 everyone!

Change the route: Yellow meets fringe

Hi! Today's look was inspired by my journey mentioned in the April's blog post of utilizing the items I have in my closet currently. It was very easy at first then I started getting anxious about going on a big shopping spree. I was  quickly reminded why I even started this journey  which is to not be wasteful  anymore and enjoy the things I am currently blessed with.

..so I pulled out some old items and started getting inspired. It started with the fringe shoes I brought about 5 years then I add a light ruffle mesh dress that I absolutely adore.

I wanted to add a kiss of color so I went for this yellow jacket I brought years ago from Cache. The store used to sell really cute items but over the years the quality changed and eventually the company was sold.

Last, is the first Brahmin bag of many that I have brought. I really love the quality of these bags. Oh, I cant forget I made my earrings. I only make jewelry as a hobby because it relaxes me and gives me a little me time too. This day of playing with my favorites was a reminder of how good it feels to not be so impulsive or anxious about anything. My financial future is being secured by the choices I make or more importantly the ones I do not make.

Well lesson learned is that the destination may not seem too encouraging at times but don't be so quick to abandon the mission... just be inspired to make changes to the route and maybe you will see a whole new perspective .

As always thank you so much for your continued support! Good day!
