Tinytiff Talk: Dark print dress

Dress: One clothing similar
shoes: Tory Burch here

Happy Friday! I was really attracted to the dark print on the dress. I also adore that I can add a leather jacket and some ankle boots to create an on the go fall look. My plan was to alter this dress because its a size small and fits slightly too big. However, I like how flowy it is and I did not want to change the structure of the dress.

I wanted to share a tip on shopping as we are approaching the holiday season. A lot of businesses will be offering special discounts if you sign up for their store credit card. This is a great perk but if you are not great just yet at paying off credit cards within 30 days of incurring the charge then do not sign up. The interest you will pay on store cards is very high; therefore, it is not worth the extra money you will pay in the long term.

Now, a better solution would be to carry cash with you at all times. This way if you do get tempted to accept one of those offers then you can immediately pay off the balance of what you charged. As mentioned here this is the season most people get into debt so plan ahead when shopping so you can end 2015 on the road to financial success. Well thank you so much for your support. Happy weekend!

Tinytiff talk: summer sweater & dress

shoes: Gianni Bini
Sweater: Jessica Simpson

Happy Sunday! I hope everyone is having a good weekend! This weekend has been all about looking comfortable and staying cool so that's what inspired me to wear my summer sweater. so light and airy and I adore how it changed the look of this dress.

I spoke this weekend to a group of parents eager to teach their children how to be more financially responsible but unsure how to get started. I wanted to share just a few of the points I discussed to the group.
1)  Help them to balance their checking account or if they are younger then how to count their pennies. They need to understand the importance of what's coming in and what's going out.
2) Allow them to decide how to deal with a money situation when they don't have enough. That kid in the checkout line may have to put that toy back until they can afford it or that teen may need to get a job. I would also ask them is this item valuable and worth the cost. Of course they will feel like "yes" but over time they will start to think in terms of value. This will also teach responsibility and build confidence in the their financial choices.
3) Don't pressure them to save. Make saving fun and celebrate their successes. Keep painting the picture of the life they are creating later by the choices they make now.
Well thanks for reading and your continued support!

On Repeat: Dress & Denim Vest

Vest: old(similiar)
Dress: Target
Shoes: Michael Kors (similar on sale)

Happy Monday! This was my relaxed weekend look. This dress has definitely been on repeat since I purchased it last winter. I wore it on a vacation to Atlanta early last year. ..see here I layered a cozy sweater on top. I was inspired to layer a vest and wear it again for a more casual summer look.

Well I hope everyone had a super weekend and as always thank you for stopping by!

Flamingo Domingo: TinyTiff tip

Dress: Crown and Ivy (similar on sale)
Shoes: Jessica Simpson
Belt:Ann Taylor

Happy Sunday! This is my only piece of flamingo I own. I actually think it's fun and cute and can add a little pizzazz to a look. I will have to get the dress tailored because it is slightly too big in the top area. I notice with this brand the zero petites sell out quickly which is the size I need.

I feel a great way to save money going into the fall and holiday season is to invest in versatile pieces that can be worn into different seasons. Therefore, I can't wait until fall so I can pair this dress with a blazer or a sweater. I would even love to layer a button down underneath then throw a trench jacket on top. This is definitely another fall transition item for me like the dress worn here in New York.

This all leads me to a tiny tiff tip! The holiday season is fast approaching and most people get into debt during these times than any other time of the year. Therefore, make preparations now so you won't be tempted to make bad financial decisions in the future. There is a challenge I mentioned here last year. Once you have conquered the 6 week challenge try another 6 weeks. Remember if you want your life to change financially then you must make decisions in advance to do it.

As always thanks for your support!

Brooklyn love: Florals

This particular day was filled with visiting beautiful spots in Brooklyn. I chose to wear this  floral dress. This dress was so cool and comfortable.

I started the day at the Prospect Park zoo. The park tour ended with a viewing of a 200 year old historic home. I learned tons of interesting facts about the people of New York during this time.

Afterwards, I went to the farmers market to do some shopping. The peaches were delicious!

Across from the market  I found a great spot to take pictures. There were tons of people playing in the fountain water, taking wedding pictures, and just relaxing enjoying the view!

I also visited the Brooklyn library. I absolutely love how people were enjoying outside the library just as much as they were the inside.  People were laying out on the steps reading or enjoying the company of family and friends. The scenery was so inviting as there were several tables outside and people were sitting down watching a play being performed by a local drama group.

It was so great to feel the love of Brooklyn. As always thank you for your support! Happy weekend!

NYC: Floral dress

Happy week to everyone! This is the dress I wore on my first day in New York.  Its  a very comfortable and easy dress! I do feel  it is a great dress to tranistion into the fall.

When I used to work and stay in Manhattan I enjoyed the city but I did not spend time touring the area. Therefore, this trip I focused more on local attractions..

The first stop was the wax muesum. I was so suprised how well my bag held up throughout the trip considering it was filled with bottled water and shoes

I adore touring different wax museums. The Madame Tussauds was very nice and fun!

Its confirmed I am too short to be a model:)

The tour of the empire state building was very informative and fun. It was very crowded and about two hours of walking. I should have toured it during the night but the view during the day was still beautiful!

I ended the night with walking of course and I could not resist this snapshot of the bridge.
Thanks for reading and as always thanks for your support!
