I hope everyone is having a great week! I was so exited to wear this green jacket because it has been tucked away for quite some time . The color has a spring feel to it; however, the fit is very boxy.. so I went with the typical pencil skirt to balance the jacket out. I think if the jacket was hitting above my waist I would have buttoned it up. Therefore, I kept it unbutton and  tucked my striped tank in for a more polished look.

I recently read that studies were completed on retirement income  needed for millennials ranging from 1.8 million to 2.5 million.  If you think this is a lot then I'll discuss at a later date the amount needed for college education. This projected savings number  assumes 2% inflation and the fact that a million dollars 30 years from now only will be worth half-a-million dollars.  This means that most Millennials will possibly have to start saving thousands per month now just to maintain the same lifestyle later in retirement.  This recent finding is just another confirmation of why it is important to be in position to save and do it consistently.
Thank  you for reading and as always your kind words and support is deeply appreciated good day!

Hi so much talk about another financial crash can lead to panic. However remember what I have said before that worrying about the past and future will cause stress. However, just focus on what you can do presently because that's all you can influence.

Therefore I want to share some tips on what you can do NOW that can impact your future financially later.

1. Keep adding to your emergency fund. My rule of thumb is twelve months of your salary. However, in a down market 3 to 6 months emergency stash is better than nothing.

2. Pay yourself first! The most important bill in your house should be YOU! The best way to do this is to automate a certain percentage of your income into a separate  account.

3. If your job has 401k plan then contributing up to the match point is free money. If you have a business then remember "you are your 401k" so keep contributing towards your retirement as well. Employee or employer just be consistent with your contributions.

4. Pay down debt. Once you eliminate debt you can easily do the first three steps. However while in debt still save but your savings will not be as big until debt is removed.

5. Last, don't be too quick to upgrade your lifestyle. Basically I just have an attitude of gratitude in all things. I know I say this often to remain grateful....but gratitude has been my latitude to changing in the inside!

I hope there is something you can implement in your journey today! As always thank you for your kind words and support!

Happy weekend!

Happy Tuesday! It's spring! Each new season is a time of change! A change mind can definitely change things! Perfect season  for an ABC rule of change!
1. Always have an attitude of gratitude! It's amazing how being grateful now can change your life later.
2. Be where you are supposed to be..sometimes we have a feeling inside that we need to step into something new but we cant see all the details. Remember even if you can not see be where your heart desires to be.

3. Complete what you have started! It's amazing how not just folding the laundry but putting it away can create discipline...or finishing a book can expand your thinking...or just keeping your closet organized can create a feeling of appreciation for what you already have. Therefore big or small complete it all.

Enjoy your week! Thank you so much for your kind words and continued support!

Happy Wednesday! I wore this look over the weekend.  It totally feels like spring! I wanted to accentuate this white lace dress with a pop of color so I chose to add a colorful blue bag! It's amazing how a dash of color can brighten up a look!

I think in terms of your life it is also great to brighten up your look! The quickest way for me is maintaining  a positive attitude! Your attitude can change any situation in the right direction!

Making better financial choices is another way to brighten up your life. For most people the extra hours of daylight is filled with more spending. That's great news for retailers but a challenge on the pockets of shoppers. Therefore use the extra hours to increase your health by exercising. Try hosting a warm weather get together at home with friends and family members. These are just a couple of examples that will shift the focus from spring spending to saving..and in my opinion will add a dash of color and brightness to your life.

Well as always thank you reading and your continued support!

Happy Tuesday I am so excited to have some spring weather... it's not completely warm yet but warm enough to wear some spring sequins!

Today I have to host a small business council roundtable event. This event will allow small business owners to ask questions in an informal setting and we'll be able to provide them with the answers needed or lead them in the right direction to get those answers. Statistics have said that in the first few years more than 50% of small businesses fail. In my opinion, not having enough resources available plays a major part in this failure rate.

Therefore when I was invited to be a part of the Small Business Council I was really excited for the opportunity to share my experiences and help other business owners gather the training, resources and networking needed to empower them to have a successful business. It's such a wonderful feeling to give back and transfer time and resources to others in need. Well I wish you a wonderful week and thank you as always for your continued support!

Spring is definitely in the air! I guess it is time to start thinking about transitional wardrobe pieces. That's what led me to this button down shirt. It's so easy to pair with my pencil skirts and under my sleeveless dresses for spring.  I'm using this time to edit my closet and see what needs to stay for spring and what needs to be removed.

As mentioned  in a previous post, each season I review my goals because I believe as seasons change we have the opportunity to grow and change as well. This prevents me from facing any year end disappointments by allowing me to adjust my goals as needed throughout the year. Basically each season is a time of checks and balances:) A few of my goals that I am reviewing are:

1) BUILDING MY FAITH!  My faith has become an everyday process therefore I committed  many seasons ago to not let a morning go by without building my faith. Now that I am reviewing this goal I envision ways I can share with others to do the same, so I plan to stretch this goal in the next season!

2) STAYING ACTIVE! I love this goal because it challenges me to keep moving. Not only did this goal keep me on track with my exercising but most importantly mentally it keeps me moving. when I face challenges I can tell myself things like " All you can do is all you can do" "Keep moving Tiff because if you stop then its guaranteed that nothing will ever change."

3) READ! When I graduated from college I vowed no more reading..haha  ..being age 15 and attending college and working at the same time so I could purchase my new home was obviously a lot of work. ...and I deserved a little break:) Either way that's the worst thing I could have ever done because I stop growing. I read more than ever now. My vocabulary as well as my mind is now back on track and growing. My conversations feel more meaningful as well. This simple goal has really  pushed me beyond what I could have ever expected.

4) FINANCIAL! When I left my job as a Senior accountant years ago I knew I had to develop a financial plan to keep me on track with all my financial goals. There's nothing that excites me more then being able to save so this system has been an important part of my life.  I have been working  on making this system simple and duplicatable so it can be shared  to help others.

Even if you don't have any goals to review this is also a great season to set new goals! Well as always thank you for your continued kindness and support! Have a wonderful weekend!
