Happy Wednesday! As I stand in my yard reflecting on how my beautiful trees have grown over these years, I couldn't help but think about how I have grown internally and financially. I am always motivated to share these things in hope that someone can use it to create their own financial destiny.

I  wanted to share some more tips on owning things.  I did a blog post a few months ago here on owning your home. I feel owning real estate is most important depending on where you are in life. Well today's topic is about some advantages to paying off a vehicle. Lets jump into it!

1. Owning and not owing on your vehicles feels great!! Of course,  you will still have to pay maintenance, insurance and taxes but now you have  for example $500-$600  in payments you can save  monthly or $6000 per year of money to go in one of your buckets.  Therefore if you have an emergency situation with your car that cost a lot of money then you can grab it from your bucket.. creating a less stressful situation and it will exempt you from that statistic of almost 60% of the people in America that don't have $500  put aside for an emergency.

2. Paying the vehicle off can save you interest. Let's say your payment is $515  then round up and pay $550 each month. This mind trick will save even more interest... If  this is not possible then pay 1 big extra payment  when you receive a bonus or tax refund. This can speed up the process as well. The more you save in interest the more you can drop into one of your buckets.

3.  Only refinance if you can get a lower payment and your payoff date is not extended.  If these two things do not happen then there's no reason to refinance because it's going to cost you a lot more in interest which means you end up paying way more then what the car is probably even worth.

4. Last, it will go from an asset on the lenders books to an asset on your books... Basically the value of the car will increase your net worth as the amount owed is paid off. I am a luxury car lover and I like that they tend to hold value over time  a little better. However, luxury or not own it then save it in a bucket.

Thank you so much for reading and have a wonderful week!

During summer and spring I love wearing black and white. It's so monochromatic and a blank canvas to do so much with. This particular look is all about dressing up the skinny white jeans.

This peplum bustier top has been a closet fav of mine for many years...and when paired with these zig zag heels it definitely dresses up these white jeans making this look great for a date, lunch date, or a creative meeting.

I wore minimal jewelry with this look because I wanted my other accessories like the silver chain belt and cat eyeglasses to compliment the look. We don't always need jewelry to make a statement when you get creative with your accessories.

My blue leather clutch is so unexpected and I love how it brightens up the look. Now on to my topic "how to keep shopping!"  I know a lot of people talk about how to stop shopping but I believe there's nothing wrong with shopping and I don't say this just because I love shopping myself:)   most times it is not the shopping itself that gets people into financial trouble it's the choices they make while shopping and not having any boundaries that causes the financial problems. Therefore, I want to share a few tips on how you can continue shopping:

1.  Organize your closet... once you organize your closet you truly know what you have and most importantly understand what you need; therefore, when you go shopping you won't buy items that you already have in your closet. This will not only save you money but it will also help you from running out of money so you can continue shopping.

2.  Create a list of exactly whatever you are going to shop for and stick to the list.  Most times we go in the store knowing exactly what we want to purchase but get distracted by other items or sales. These are definitely things that could get you to overspend and if you overspend you can't continue shopping.

3.  Have a clothing spending plan!  Now if you've been following me for some time you know I always speak on "paying yourself first" and that's more important than anything. . ..once you pay yourself first you can budget for things like shopping.  This clothing spending plan will keep you again from overspending and  allow you to continue shopping.

These tips  are not everything that that you can do so challenge yourself to create more but they can be used as a guideline to continue shopping and continue your journey to a financial free life.

Have a wonderful and blessed week and as always thank you so much for reading! Your kind comments are always appreciated.

Happy Wednesday! Hope everyone is having a wonderful week! This dress and a fringe top are the only fringe items I actually own. It is such a cute trend but I have to make sure the pieces fit with my style so I am able to continue wearing it long after the trend passes. That's why this shift dress was perfect. I definitely can incorporate it into my style of wardrobe for quite some time. I went up a size from my normal extra small to a small because I didn't want a tight fit...just in case I want to throw on a blazer and wear it to a business function. The faux suede material feels so soft and with the sticky weather it still flows beautifully against my skin. My block heels are from last spring but the newer version are just as cute and eye-catching. I love the gold on the heels and it pairs well with my gold accessories.

Thank you for reading and have a wonderful week!

Happy Monday! I hope you had a beautiful weekend!  Sometimes we need to take some really cute accessories and glam up a plain look. Its a great idea to do the same to your finances. A few ideas on how to glam up your finances:

1. Set short term and long term financial goals. Put it in writing!

2. Monthly or quarterly review those goals to make sure you are on pace to hit it. What's the use in setting a goal that you never track or expect to achieve!

3. If you have a lot of debt take one debt at a time and focus all your energy on paying down that particular debt...continue the process until all the debt has been eliminated. The key here is just to focus!

4. Save, Save, Save..ok you already pay yourself first...well pay yourself more. The biggest bill in your home should be you! Invest in your financial future!

5. Carry cash with you! Cash is very attractive but fast technology has made it unattractive. Most people love debit or credit cards. Swipe, swipe swipe:) Well the more you use these the more you are subject to lose track of your spending. ..with cash when it is spent you are physically able to see it is gone.

Well thank you so much for reading and I hope you have a wonderful blessed week!

Happy Thursday ! I love a simple wrap dress as well as a bold wrap dress like this one. They are noon to night and season to season closet favorites of mine!

My gold jewelry reflect beautifully against the deep blue color of this dress.

The neutral ankle strap heels are very subtle yet adds such a feminine appeal to the look...In a non competing way.

I always think less equals more when it relates to a wrap dress. ...sort of my view on life. To keep from being overwhelmed and to make sure I get things accomplished, I focus on less things at one time and overall I get more things completed. Well have a great day filled with many blessings! Thank you so much for  stopping by and your kind words are always greatly appreciated!

Happy Tuesday!  I was inspired by the classic red, white & black combo!

The red has such a beautiful undertone and when paired with black make the florals pop beautifully!

I gave attention to making sure the colors balance through out the outfit from top to bottom.

My finishing details were some dainty gold necklaces to contrast against my black wallet and sunglasses.

Everything flowed perfectly to create a well balanced and fresh summer look!

Have a beautiful blessed week ahead!

Happy Thursday! The color black gives off so much fire during the hotter months; therefore, it is often replaced with brighter, lighter and most often pastel colors.

A little black dress is so versatile and what is a girl to do but wear it and enjoy it all year round

The flare silhouette of this dress along with the pleats add such a romantic touch. I paired it with some simple leather sling back heels for an easy and fresh spring look.

I went into a few meetings on this particular day so I layered with a white linen jacket for a more polished business professional look.

As summer is approaching, people start to desire a much needed vacation...just a quick Tip on how to prepare financially for a vacation. The average credit card debt per household is close to $20,000 with that number being so high I know a lot of people may be using credit to cover vacations.  If you use a credit card  try to prepay for the majority of your vacation upfront and make sure its an amount that you can immediately pay off  before even leaving for your vacation.  The best option is just to have the cash saved up in a vacation fund that you only use to cover your vacation expenses. If you do not have a vacation fund then now is a great time to set up one over the next 12 months for your next vacation. This way all you will have to focus on is setting a daily budgeted amount that you will spend each day while on vacation. However remember to pay close attention not to exceed your daily or weekly budgeted amount.  The goal of vacations is to put you in a better place mentally... and when you prepare properly it will keep you in a better place mentally and financially once you return home. Remember there is freedom in your choices and success in your commitments!

As always thank you for reading and have a great day!

Happy Wednesday!  This neutral blazer is a must have wardrobe item for me. It's definitely  timeless!  I have held on to it over the years because the silhouette is so flattering...and it pairs well with majority of my wardrobe items.  Most of this look consisted of neutrals so to keep it from looking so blah I jazzed it up with my bright red bag and lace heels.

Thank you for reading and  have a great week!

Happy Tuesday! This bright bag was a great way to add some flare to a basic blue dress. I'm using the shoulder strap. There is a top handle  if I want to just carry it with my hand and it can be worn crossbody. This bag is so practical, versatile,  and vibrantly stylish for the warmer months.

Thank you for reading and I hope you're having a wonderful week

Hi! Today I wanted to talk a little business. This information can help someone that is a business owner or someone aspiring to be one in the future. Let's jump right into it:

- Have a separate account for your personal income/expenses and your business income/expenses. This will give you a clear and true picture of how your business really is performing. If you commingle these two accounts you may start borrowing from personal funds to support your business and not realize it until it's too late. The goal is to have a successful business that can function on its on.

- Always set aside a specific amount for your taxes. Make it automatic every time you receive income to assign a portion to taxes. Work with your accountant to determine the specific amount.

- That leads me to my next point. If you do not understand how to run the financial aspect of your business then get an accountant. It will relieve a lot of stress. The advantage I had starting out in business was my accounting experience so I didn't need an accountant. However most business owners need an accountant so they can focus more on running the business.

- Last, keep spreadsheets for different parts of your business. I maintain spreadsheets for everything. My personal and business affairs. These basic spreadsheets keep me so organized financially.

Well thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful and blessed week!

If I didn't love to change my heels so often I could stay in these nude cork heels all summer long.

When I can't decide what bag I want to carry I always gravitate towards this brown leather bag. I love how it brings out the blue in this dress.

A fit and flare shirt dress is so classic and timeless. ..and super comfortable in these hot and humid temperatures. The print is a bonus because it gives off such happy energy! I guess I will call this a no fuss and happy type of outfit. .. we can all use a few of these:) Well thank you for stopping by and I wish you a happy and blessed June.
