Happy Thursday! As I stood in my closet with this bright white dress on I immediately gravitated towards finding a white jacket. However white on white is so tricky especially if the items are not new. Therefore, I went for my off white jacket...imperfect choice that created a perfect color combo for me.
It is such a blessing how our imperfect choices can lead to perfect solutions. Of course, it takes a leap of faith. That's exactly what I did with the off white ignoring the thought that maybe it would look dingy or faded against my bright white dress. It definitely had the opposite affect by creating a chic on the go look.
If you are willing to take the white/off white mix challenge then know that you can pull it off. Try adding a bright accessory like a handbag. You can even add a statement shoe to redirect the focus. A great way to dash into it is by adding one contrasting item like a white cami under a cream top.
Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful week of blessings.
Happy Friday! I accessorized with this orange and white tie dye scarf. I wear minimal jewelry so I love to use other accessories to dress up my outfits. This jumpsuit has been a long-time favorite of mine and it has held up well over the years. I have gotten a little sun damage over the past few weeks so I'm always trying to find a scarf or sunglasses to block the sun.
It is so important for me to protect my skin from the sun because I don't wear any makeup at all other than lip gloss and sometimes a brow definer. I'm not a huge fan of hats even though I see so many cute hats for the summer. I gravitate towards scarves because they reflect more of my personal style and I love the infinite ways that I can style a scarf.
Yes I have a new hairstyle! Over the past I've been wearing extensions to protect my hair and give it a break from heat damage. I felt now was a perfect time to give the extensions a rest and wear my natural hair. I decided to cut off a few inches because I felt some areas of my hair had damage and I want it to grow back healthier than ever.
My hair routine is so simple. I just wash blow-dry and I use minimum heat to create a smooth straight style since my natural hair has a deep curl pattern.
Remember that your network can determine your self-worth so place yourself, thoughts and your feelings in places where you're challenged to become the leader you were created to be. Thank you so much for your support and I hope you have a wonderful and blessed weekend.
I hope everyone is having a beautiful week! I wanted to share just a few ways I make my money grow. This is always a sensitive topic. I'm not sure why because every day requires spending money but when it comes to acquiring the abundance of money the room always get quiet:) However this is what I love, my true calling and most importantly I know people need it...so I have to talk about it.
I speak and think positive in relation to my money. This may seem simple but how you view your money can determine how money will manifest & grow. I never worship money I just have a clear understanding that how I treat it says a lot about me and my thinking. ..so I think in the direction that I want it to grow which of course is a positive direction.
I purchase things of value that will create long term income. For example, my home because it appreciated in value from the day I bought it creating more money in the future for me. I also purchase shares of stock. I can lose time doing income producing activities because I enjoy it so much.
I'm not an impulse buyer anymore. Now this took some time to achieve but I feel I have it mastered:) Therefore, the money I save from not buying something allows my money to stay where it belongs and grow.
Remember true growth starts from within... grow yourself and everything around you will be forced to grow
Well thank you so much for reading and I pray the rest of your week is filled with many blessings!
Happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I wanted to share some quick tips on how I set the tone for my day with confidence!!
1. I speak affirmations over my life. For example, " Today is a great day! " It builds confidence and it increases your faith as you start to believe what you're speaking.
2. I read or listen to things that challenge me to grow everyday. I have the power to change the course of my day but only if I have the right mindset. Therefore I schedule time to invest in my inner thoughts and feelings so I can face life challenges with a positive mindset.
3. I exercise daily and yes squatting while cooking counts as exercise if you don't have a lot of time:) I do it in the morning to give myself that " I can conquer the world" feeling throughout the day.
4. I'm fully aware of where I am financially and where I'm destined to go. That's why I always carry cash with me it's the best confidence booster to see cash every time I open my purse... and it feels great paying for things with cash or debit verses relying on credit.
5. I used to drive through a neighborhood very often. I would see a lady in a nurse uniform outside. God led me to stop one day and introduce myself and ask her what hospital she worked for. She said I have a center in my home where I prepare children mentally and sometimes spiritually with the skill set they need to excel when they start attending school. Basically she has an in home daycare but she didn't dress as such and as mentioned in my first point she didn't speak as such. That brings me to my last point of being clear on your mission in life. When your purpose is clear you can operate daily with confidence and most importantly with happiness.
Well thank you for reading and I appreciate your kind comments! Have a beautiful blessed week!
Hi! Happy Monday! Lately I have been unexpectedly expanding my wardrobe of shirt dresses. I think it's my desire for easy, cool and simple summer pieces. This dress is lined so no slip is needed. It does require dry cleaning which I would recommend to keep this cotton fabric in good condition.
I carried my pink tote to add a dash of color. Every year I try to update my summer tote but I decided to keep this one on summer repeat because the color is still fabulous..but most importantly it's able to hold my personal items and business documents. Most days I carry around my blogging tools like my camera and tripod so a good quality large tote is a must have.
This tote gets very heavy the more you put into it. Therefore, I keep a small clutch purse inside it so when I'm just running errands I don't have to weight my body down with a heavy tote.
Well have a great day! Thank you for reading and have a wonderful blessed week!
My life became so much easier financially when I made things automatic. I love that when you automate it takes the "thinking" out and puts the "doing" in place. Automate just means you are "paying yourself first" by saving before you start spending! Therefore I wanted to share some areas you can automate your life to success!
EMERGENCY FUND: If you are an employee the government take their payment for taxes automatic before you receive your paycheck...seems like they don't trust you to pay once you get the money first... right:) Therefore have the same mentality when it comes to building an emergency fund for yourself. A rule of thumb is have at least 3 to 6 months worth of expenses saved up just in case you lose your job or any unforeseen event happens. However, if you want to be bulletproof in terms of being prepared for any emergency then I would have more like 8 to 12 months of expenses saved in an emergency fund. Every paycheck have an amount that automatically drafts into your emergency fund.
VACATION FUND: I won't spend much time here. I have a post here on the importance of having a vacation fund. The key is to make it automatic by assigning a percentage to your savings account before you start spending.
RETIREMENT FUND: Well this is why most people work so that one day they can retire and enjoy the rest of their lives financially free. The process of making a retirement savings automatic makes the dream more of a reality and possible. You can automate 10% of your earnings into your retirement account however if 10% is too much starting out just do whatever you can. The main point is to start the process towards building a retirement and automating this amount makes it so much easier to achieve this goal.
Remember to save before you spend because you can't save what you've already spent...thank you so much for reading and your kind comments are always appreciated.. continue having a wonderful blessed week!
