Happy new day! I wanted to share a few tax tips as we go into our tax season. The biggest tip is preparation. This makes the entire process like anything else in your life run better!

1. Get organized and stay organized. There are plenty of file folders that you can purchase like here to get all your documents in order. The options are endless when it comes to tax organization. This will definitely save you money and time if you are ever audited.

2. Search for a tax preparer that is certified and knowledgeable about taxes. Ultimately your taxes are your responsibility but it's best if you have someone that can make recommendations if needed all year round concerning your tax life.

3. File on time! Remove the stress so you can focus on having a stress free 2017!

4. Last, if it turns out that you will have a refund then invest time in deciding how you will assign it. Remember unassigned money can be dangerous to your financial future. Just a few options can be paying off debt so you can start owning it,  start building an emergency fund, or you can allocate towards the $500 challenge. Whatever you do just assign it.

Thank you as always for your support and have a blessed weekend filled with love and happiness!
