FINANCIAL FRIDAY: INVEST 4 SUCCESS

Happy Friday! I pray that you are having a beautiful week! Here are few tips if you are thinking about investing for your retirement. Most people work many years and trade their time for money. A way you can bring value to that money is by putting it towards your retirement. You can never recover the time lost but you can gain much time in your later years with proper financial planning. Well, here's a few tips to consider when starting the journey towards investing in a retirement plan.

1. Create a financial vision for your life. A true financial vision will keep you focused, motivated and committed towards achieving financial success in your life. Basically it gives you purpose!

2.  Understand your risk profile. The risk profile will tell you the acceptable level of risk that you are willing to take. This assessment is then matched up to the appropriate investment vehicles. For example, I am personally able to accept a higher level of risk because fluctuations in the market do not bother me. Therefore, I tend to focus more on capital appreciation when it relates to my investments. Everyone and their level of acceptable risk is different so it's important to assess your own  individual risk.

3. Always consult with your tax professional or CPA to see how or if  this investment will affect your taxes.

4. You should research before starting to invest. There are many things you need to research such as fees and performances. For example, fees reduce your profit so it is important to evaluate the amount of fees you will be paying. This research process can become very time consuming so having someone to manage this process for you may be a better option.

5. Last, set aside time each year to do a financial check up. In relation to our physical health, we do annual checkups to make sure everything is going well and to better understand how to stay well going forward. This process should be the same when it comes to your financial success. You always need to know where you are financially so you can make the necessary adjustments going forward.

Remember your financial situation will not change overnight. However, it changes daily with being intentional about your financial choices and following a proven system towards financial freedom.

Thank you for stopping by and have a blessed rest of the week!

  3. Love the studded collar on your top, and of course the red bag is the perfect accessory for a pop of colour with the black and white :)

I think that's great advice about investing too - especially the research part, it can be so confusing if you're new to it! :)

Hope you're having a lovely weekend! We got outside to enjoy the sun a little today which was nice, after a tough day yesterday with an unwell toddler!
