Happy Thursday!! I pray you are having a wonderful week! Minimalism means something different depending on who you ask. I love the fact that you have the freedom to define minimalism for yourself without any judgment. As for me it has been a new way of life. I just make sure that I purchase based on quality and this process has allowed me to have a closet with items that I am able to show my love and appreciation for by wearing and using everything in it. I guess you can say I'm happy and stylish like I mentioned in this blog post here. What's bigger than my closet is the consumption of things do not control me yet I have the power to control it. The result has been better choices in all areas of my life. Most times when your space is cluttered your life is cluttered.
I'm not sure how things that have no real value now defines what a person is. A world where confidence is being built from the outside versus being built from the inside. I too enjoy things and sometimes luxury things. However never to the point where it disconnects me from my truth and enslaves me to what is opposite of that truth. I'm committed to being defined by my own truth of who I am and the person God created me to be. Therefore when defining minimalism there's no right or wrong answer. It's just more about making right the wrong that has been occurring in your space so you can better represent your life in a light of truth.
As always thank you for reading and have a blessed rest of the week
