Happy Thursday! I hope you are having a beautiful week! I mentioned last year that I wanted to take a minimalist approach to my life. I feel the process on how you get to a minimalist life is determined by the individual. Basically you define what minimalism means for your life. In my opinion, there's no right or wrong way to do it. However, I do believe the overall goal for those that desire a minimalist life is the same which is to be surrounded with things you truly need and love.
Once the the decision was made to apply minimalism into my life the process seemed somewhat overwhelming. However, I tackled it like I tackle most issues in life step-by-step and day-by-day. Therefore, I started in small areas of my life. I created a happy and stylish closet as mentioned here. I can definitely say that process was so freeing. I am more intentional now when it comes to my shopping and what items I add to my current wardrobe. It also saves me money because I have a plan and purpose in how I spend on clothing. Most importantly it allows me to savor one of our greatest gifts which is time. No more wasting time getting dressed because everything has been curated to fit my personal style philosophy.
Remember we live in the world that tells us, you can only get more out of having more. The danger in this develops when the more is being consumed without a purpose. Therefore it leads to spaces filled with unused stuff. My experience with minimalism has been complete opposite. It is a joyful experience that teaches you how to embrace less and still live life at your very best.
As always thank you for reading and have a blessed day!
