Happy April! I pray that you had a blessed March! When you start a new year it is very easy to get distracted and forget about the goals and dreams you have set for your life. That is why being accountable and allowing others to hold you accountable is an important factor in getting the job done! The easiest way for me to hold myself accountable is by having a reward and punishment system. Well, the reward is very easy to do. However, if I  fail to meet expectations then there must be consequences. In most cases, if there are no consequences then wherever you fall in life will be fine. Basically, due to lack of expectations and discipline.

In 2018 I desire to grow more spiritually than ever. It is not about just head knowledge for me it is also about heart knowledge. I want to lead in all areas of my life with the spirit of love, peace and joy that is within me. This is why the past 8 years I committed to an in depth daily bible study. Therefore, in 2018 I have not missed one bible study class or daily assignment. Most importantly I am seeking ways each day on how to apply the knowledge to help others. I guess I could reward myself with my quarter end results, but I feel I am already rewarded by being reconciled to God.

I also committed to becoming fluent in Spanish this year. I have been studying daily but I am not quite there yet. I would say I'm about 60-70 % fluent. No reward here just consequences for me. I will be replacing some of my down time with extra study time so I can get on pace to becoming fluent in Spanish.

I wanted to start over my $500 challenge this year. This is my third year doing it. You can read more about this challenge here. I have not decided what I will be be doing with everything I accumulate during this challenge in 2018.   As of now, I have $1,000 invested in the challenge and my goal is to earn an additional  $3000 this current quarter. Therefore, I plan to again use my extra time to get creative and find additional income to put towards this project.

Wow, and I have a few more areas I'm pursuing growth in. However, this post is long enough:) As always, thank you for reading and have a blessed new week!!

  1. This is such a great way to look back on the year so far! I'm impressed with your dedication with the bible plan too !I've been tracking my reading in an app and haven't missed a day, but I still don't have a specific time set aside to do it, I really need to work on that.

Hope you had a happy Easter! We have really enjoyed the long weekend, with beach time and family time and some long naps from the boys letting me catch up with blogging!

    1. Hi Mica! Yes, I'm really trying hard to be present and self reflecting as often as possible. It really helps seeing my areas of strengths and weaknesses. That is so awesome that the tracking app is helping with your reading. I know it must be really exciting seeing your progress! I will pray that you find a time that works best for you as well.

We had a wonderful Easter! I know the boys must have enjoyed the beach:) I pray you have a blessed new week!
